Prepaid credits for lookups and change alerts
1 credit = $0.0001. Same balance for on-demand calls and scheduled monitors. You pay for successful results — empty monitor checks are cheap (2 credits), failed calls are free.

Monthly prices assume you use the whole month's credits. Pay-as-you-go accounts (packs only) get 60 req/min, 3 concurrent calls, 100 monitors and scheduled monitor checks (usually within an hour, plus check-now on demand).
Change alerts (the recurring product): scheduled monitor checks with no change cost 2 credits (5 for techstack). When something changes you pay the normal endpoint price (a sitemap change bills 10 + 1 per changed URL): delivering a sitemap change needs at least 11 credits (10 base + 1 per URL); a check that finds no change costs 2. If a change is bigger than your balance, the URLs you can pay for are delivered and the rest wait; carried-over URLs cost 1 credit each when delivered (no second base fee). The first snapshot of a sitemap monitor is a flat 10 credits for any site size (50 per account per day, 10 on a free trial; it returns counts and a 20-URL sample, not the full list). Test events (POST /v1/monitors/test, a signed sample webhook) are free. You pay for alerts, not empty polling.
Free trial: 1,000 credits is enough to see the whole loop. Point a monitor at the built-in demo target (it changes every 5 minutes), send a free test event, then POST /v1/monitors/run to check it and receive a real signed change webhook. About 50 credits in total. How to.
How subscriptions work
- Billing date: you're charged when you subscribe, then every month on that same day (Stripe handles short months).
- Credits: each paid monthly invoice adds that plan's credits. Nothing is added for unpaid invoices.
- Carry-over: Starter credits carry over for one billing period, then expire: they expire at the end of the period after the one they were paid for. Plan credits are used before pack credits, oldest first.
- Changing plan: upgrades take effect right away. Stripe charges the prorated difference and we add the prorated difference in credits. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal.
- Cancelling: use Dashboard → Manage / cancel subscription (opens the Stripe Customer Portal) or the Stripe billing login. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. You keep your plan and credits until then and are not charged again.
- Failed payment: Stripe retries the card over roughly the next two weeks and emails you to update it. No new credits are added while the invoice is unpaid, but you can keep using the credits you already have. If the last retry fails, the subscription ends.
- When a subscription ends (cancelled or unpaid), no more charges or credit grants happen. Your remaining plan credits stay usable until their normal expiry, pack credits stay forever, and your limits return to pay-as-you-go.
Refunds
Purchases are non-refundable except where applicable law requires otherwise (unused credits, change of mind, or mid-period cancellation are not refunds). Canceling stops future renewals only. We still fix duplicate charges and credits paid for but never delivered. If a payment is refunded or reversed (chargeback), the credits it bought are removed, even if that makes your balance negative. See the Terms.
